By train, the journey is broken down into several stages. Here is how it actually works.
For a single person, with little luggage, in the middle of the day, the train remains cheaper. A chauffeur is mainly worthwhile early in the morning, late in the evening, for families, for groups or with luggage.
For a 7 am flight, you need to be at the terminal around 5:30 am. Departure from Colmar is then around 4:45 am, for around 40 minutes of driving.
The first shuttle runs at around 5 am. By public transport, that is too tight. The car remains the reliable option at that time of day.

The fare is higher at night, early in the morning and on Sundays. It is quoted before booking. For morning flights and during the Christmas markets, book in advance.

It is advisable, especially for morning flights. During the Christmas markets, from late November to late December, Colmar is very busy: it is better to book earlier.

Mon train ayant eu près d’une heure de retard, il m’a attendue à la gare avec beaucoup de patience et de gentillesse, ce que j’ai particulièrement apprécié. Trajet très agréable également.
